Expectations will only lead to disappointment

After starting off the week on such a high note (BSB!!!), the rest of the week seemed sooo empty in comparison!

The day after the climax (concert) wasnt too bad, cos i needed the rest. But it got soooo depressing on thurs that on the spur of the moment, i went to watch a movie! hahah..really!

At 3.15pm, i decided to go watch the 4.05pm show. So basically just washed up, dressed and walked to Causeway Point. hahha..Impressive? Shocked myself by my own actions also! I actually didnt mind watching the show alone! hahha

And as I watched the show, I realised something --- 'Expectations tend to bring about disappointment.'

Still unable to get my hand on the book, Memoirs Of A Geisha (the movie), was good in my opinion. But to those many who have already read the book (lucky idiots!!), the show wasnt as good as the book.

See..expectations formed because the book came out first (same as with Harry Potter). Imagine if it was the other way round! The movie shown before the book was published..Wld it then make the book a greater book than it is now even if the contents were the same?? Confused?

Let's see.... Do you realise that you tend to expect more from people closer to you? One tends to expect more of the opposite party, be it a bf or gf..We usually give them huge shoes to fill in. Probably even before we know them well. Guilty??

Well, i am. After forming this wonderful/cute/perfect image of Nick for TEN years, seeing him LIVE in person on Monday was kinda disappointing to me. He didnt exactly fit the bill. Not how i imagined him to be. It wasnt just the looks. Cos character-wise, he wasnt what i thought of him to be. -shrugs-
What can i say? Expectations only leads to disappointments. [ps. But i still like him though! hahha..]

Moral of the story: Not to expect too much from Da Vinci Code, THE MOVIE (!!) when it comes out in MAY!!! Yup, u 'saw' me right! Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code is going to be shown in theaters soon!!
wooohooo..when i was reading the book, there were a few occasions when i was wishing that they'll make a movie of this book because i wanted to SEE the structures and statues!! Another wish coming true i guess!! hahha..easily sastisfied these days!

Just can say that i have experienced a whirpool of emotions in the past 2 days.
2 days that im not gonna forget anytime soon.
2 days of many 'firsts'! MANY!!

Im really very glad that it all happened. It's more than the fulfillment of a childhood fantasy. At this point, i wanna thank God for helping me get what i got. *grinz* (some of the stuff cant be mentioned online..heheh)

Im a very happy girl right now.

Rain is the perfect weather I need now to complement my own downcast. My sadness. Disappointment.

The very pieces of paper I have been looking foward to attain. A paper which would bring me FACE-TO-FACE with world-class royalty!! I've failed to get it.

Sound-check passes to the concert knoW!! Hearing and SEEING the guys prepare for the MAJOR concert oK!! How often does one get to do that?!?

Oh man! The more I type on, the more depressed I get.

It's like feeling the must-have passes brush pass your nose and seeing it fly into the hands of a boy-band hate-r.

Yes. The passes are to the Backstreet Boys Never Gone Concert sound-check!!! It's worth like tons more than the ticket to the show itself. At least in my opinion, it is.

Even you hate boybands, you got to admit that THE BACKSTREET BOYS are indeed impressive! At least at some point or another during their period of ruling the music industry! (Watch it, they'll be back!)
And they're not a BOY band ok!! They are a group of professional singers who all happened to be MALE. MEN. No longer boys.

Cant believe why Shan Wee gave the passes to that idiot! I mean his reason of why he deserved the tickets is because he wants to bring a gal who he is going ask to be his gf at the concert. Wait. hmmm..Sounds weird.. He wants.. Ai yah! HE BLOODY IS GONNA ASK TT STUPID GIRL TO BE HIS GF AT THE CONCERT!

So in conclusion, the PASSES ARE BLOODY WASTED ON THEM!!!!

What were you thinking, Shan??? (no offense..)He didnt need THOSE passes to make it romantic. JUST the $160 tickets would be enough. Wait. Why even waste those tickets on them. The cheapest $75 ones would just do fine and dandy.

Now this feels more like December!

Well, with all the holidays that just passed and 2 more which are coming, it sure doesnt feel like January. hehe..but once again, i LIKE!

Hmmm...Very quickly, the 1st week of 2006 is over. 51 more weeks till 2007? heheh..nope nope..let's just focus on 2006 for now.

Ohh, after having a bout of vomitting session on 1/1/06 and thus having to miss my sec sch gathering (arghhh), i thought i wld be cursed for this yr in regards to gatherings.

But i managed to be present at my sec sch band's gathering!! :D and am happy to say tt i actually enjoyed myself pretty much!
I mean honestly back then in sec sch, i was never much involved in band. I did go for practices and all la..But was never in the IN group. Guess i kinda put more time and dedication into SC instead.

So when i went for tt gathering tt day (i actually surprised myself by agreeing to go!) , i wasnt exactly expecting to enjoy much. Just to meet up,chat and get away. BUT i had a wild time!! Thanks for planning the outing, Farhan and Wendy!! Hope there's more to come. And maybe seeing more of the faces i have not seen since 2001!!

Alrighty, im gonna go slack a little now. Had a tough week. Gonna pamper myself now!! tata...ooh ohh, crappygang gathering tmr!! Cant wait as usual!!
