Wake Up Call!

Feeling so emo! My greatest fear has been confirmed (sort of, cos I'm hoping it's not true)!

Many months back, we were very dependant on takeaway food.. Calling in our meals almost every day!

And usually after the meals, I'll get soooooo thirsty that drinking all the water I can stomach still makes me feel unsatisfied! It's like I still feel so thirsty after that.

Initially I thght perhaps it was the MSG in the food... And maybe it WAS! 

Then came a point I decided enough of takeout! Must make effort to ownself cook... So we tried doing that whenever possible! It helped with the thirst issue.

At least with the home cooked meals, there wasn't such an issue.

Then of late we had a few takeouts here n there and I faced the same issue again.

Thght it may be a kidney problem but googled and found out that it could be diabetes!

My greatest enemy!

Finally today I decided to use the test kit to see what's the pre-meal reading...,

Astounding 14.6mmol/L! The normal range is 3.5-5.5!!!! 😭

It's no wonder I'm feeling so awful recently! 

This is seriously a bloody wake up call for me! Enough of thinking I'm alright or still nothing major... Or it was a pregnancy related thing..

Or I'll do it when I have the time/ spare energy/ i already exercise so much when I play with Don or clean the house etc etc.....

Haizz.... My love for sweets & desserts has to go (under control).....

While the mama was away (10th-14th June)

So mama has been away for a short trip from Saturday night to weds night...

She came back late ytd night...

And I'm so proud of myself during these last few days! The amount of housework I've managed to do impressed even myself! Hahaha....😁

Even managed to change the bedsheets man! If I have washed the fans too, I would have given myself a standing ovation + an even bigger reason for a massage!

But the last few days alone with Don was great... I felt that we bonded so much more than on the regular days where I'm half in half out for work..

Cos at least when he naps, I get to squeeze in at least 30mins of shut-eye too!

This was Sunday's dinner... Super yums! 😋 but the hubs went crazy on the chilli padi! Otherwise still super nice.... Prawns were really bagus!! Sotongs = my love 

So it was a 👍🏼 dish! Hahha...

Then many times over the last few days, I had to leave Don to do/play on his own while I settle some house stuff... This is what I saw when I came out of the kitchen:

For quite awhile, he has been attempting to climb this coffee table but always gets stopped by us in time..

So when given slightly more time, he does this! -_-

Plus I heard he calling me and just grumbling that's why I stuck my head out to check on him and saw this sight! 

Dunno wanna laugh or be angry... Cos I think he was making noise because he didn't dare/know how to come down! Hahaha....😂

Ooo... This was simple yet yummy too... I think I'm super easy when it comes to food la... Usually no strong preference.. Of cos got the occasional cravings but otherwise I think I'm a good foodie partner when it comes to meal time!

In a GrabShare car now on the way to collect our car from Merc...

Engine light came on on tues.. Turns out the catalytic converter is spoilt.. Haizzzz just the sound of it is a big headache to me!!

Hate dealing with car related issues cos I have no clue about it.. So tend to feel 'cheated' when send it to the workshop.. It is after all a well known fact that places like this will mark up their prices and yet it doesn't always guarantee a good service or superior goods!

Merc is quoting 4k just to get tt part changed.. They might as well just rob my bank account!

Feeling so stressed up for a few reasons....

- lack of car means spending more on public transport (which have been mainly Grab so far)

- messes up my/our plans cos this sat we'll be sending food to the needy and WILL need the car!

- need to send mama to Aunty jo's place too! And collect stuff from Aunty Jo

- work is messing up again cos I haven had time to settle quite a few stuff. Doesn't help that time is so tight ever this wk started

(Stupid me for thinking that I'm entitled to a short rest when June first started.. End up when shit suddenly happens, I need to play catch up!)

Aiyoh, suddenly distracted by the fact that this GrabShare is dunno taking me to where la!!! There's another passenger sharing with me.. Now we're at PIE Changi going towards Thomson... Why?!?!! N it's slow traffic! -_-

Oh dear Lord, why does my money keeps disappearing... Not because of my own luxury spending some more!
