No harm speaking up

Decided to do an entry in reply to the tags cos what eliza said made me recall something i wanted to type about for quite some time le.

But firstly, no mon, i wasnt molested. Or at least that is not how im gonna think of yesterday's encounter with pigbrain.
He just sort of sat veryyyy close to me. And since i was sitting on the inside, and considering how i practically 'pasted' myself against the window to avoid touching him, i believe he was just trying his hand (no pun intended) at being an amateur molester or 'toucher'. And i..the poor victim. Sobz...

But yah, as i said he was an amateur. He kinda backed off when i issued him THE STARE, unlike other experienceS i had. Yes, happened more than once. Pervertic motherfuckers!!

It was fortunate though, for HIM, that i only had to take tt bus for a few stops.
So he only had to get THE STARE and not THE KICK.

I guess after soo many of such encounters, im getting braver in my response to the situation. Used to endure silently. But NO MORE!! THOSE BASTARDS ARE GONNA PAY!!!

K as u can see, some of the anger still remains (thus the limited vocab.) . I mean how not to?!? So as with the previous entry, please dun mind the language once again.

Well so eliza did mention this in the tagboard which im gonna cut and paste here for future reference.

' eliza: just kick the bugger in his dick and smile at him lor. or just push him away and stand up and ask him what the **** is he trying to do. the bus uncle will drive to the ma ta chu loh. '

My response to that is, such actions are usually easier said than done in those situations.
k, let's try scenario 1: Kick bugger in dick, smile and walk away.

Possible outcomes: Errm, first problem is that if BOTH of you are sitting, how in the world can u kick his dick??hahha..sorry sorry, not trying to make a joke but most i can do in that position is jab him in the ribs or arms. Unless of cos i lift my hands up high and WHACK downwards! ahhh...sweet revenge!!

k, perhaps tts what i'll do next time. -sweet smile-

Scenario 2: Push him away, stand up and ask what the f*** he is trying to do.

Possible outcomes: He'll most likely act all blur and innocent. And worse if the entire bus would then look upon you as some werido. And you can be 99% sure that they'll go hm and tell the rest of their family.

Which brings me to what i wanna say. Many MANY singaporeans are 'so scared of death' that when such situations happen, people just watch you suffer.
It's like they ARE aware that that fellow is trying to do something funny bUT noone comes to your rescue!! It's as if they cant wait to see him just rape you right there and then!!

I mean how shitty is that??

I remember eliza said in her blog that once she saw a man shouting at an old woman and everybody just stood at the side, watching the 'show'.
That is exactly what im talking abt! Nobody will bother to go find out why a perfectly strong-looking guy is verbally abusing the older person (except in this case, my brave friend eliza did step foward. Kudos to u buddy! )

And in her case, no one even BACKED HER UP!!!! Shame on each and every useless being that were present! Yea, i pity the parents of these shitbags who have no use to society.

THis is exactly what im saying. People in singapore tend to prefer 'watching the show' to actually stepping foward to help those in distress.
Cos usually the 'victims' in the situation wld most likely be in shock, thus slow to react and as part of society, don't you think it isnt much if you stood up and made a difference?
And if everybody think alike, wouldnt there be strength in numbers? Then that asshole would back off and hopefully never do it again. Make more sense this way?? Don't sound that scary anymore right?

Really u know. I read before that in some place in the world, people could get raped or robbed, right there in the eyes of the public IN BROAD DAYLIGHT but noone would stop them.
I remember thinking to myself how sad is that for the citizens of that place. The lack of safety. Are we, Singapore, a ^developed country moving towards that kind of behaviour??

Of cos not to the seriousness of that extend, i hope! But in terms of knowing when to voice out and help those in trouble, arent we acting JUST like those people in tt country? Turning blind to all that does not directly have anything to do with us.

Here of cos im not asking you to play referee when u see 2 groups of gansters, apparantly preparing to have a one-on-one. Or to try and stop a couple who is just arguing.

Im refering to possible situations when u see a group of kids torturing a kitten where perhaps your voice could save tt helpless creature. DOn't just walk by! SPEAK UP!!

FU**ING SPEAK UP MAN!! This anger is directed esp to all those who saw how the motherfucker traumatized me in my most fearsome encounter yet BUT did not even come forth to save me! Esp the guy who sat opp. and knew what was going on! Why didnt u help me?
[Friends, pls do not ask me what it was cos at the moment i still cant speak of it without feeling all dirty! I was NOT rapped though, so no worries yah? hhaha.. ]

So here's a plead from me to you, everyone reading. Next time u see something that's not right, VOICE it out. Spread the love and concern!!
